VHA had developed a contracting services business, networking and education business and consulting business with revenues of $250 million, $100 million and $50 million respectively. As the organization evaluated entering the analytics market, senior management was concerned about new business cannibalizing the existing business rather than being accretive. PDIConsultants was hired to work with the various business units to develop strategic plans that would leverage the synergies across business. Working with the Senior Leaders of each business unit, we developed a strategic plan that combined advisory services with each of their analytics software products, driving incremental sales of contracting and consulting services.
Results: VHA grew their new analytics business to over $50 million in revenues and the advisory services drove a 15% year over year increase in consulting sales.
